History of EIFS

EIFS hit the U.S. market in the late 1960’s as an alternative to traditional stucco. For several decades commercial properties primarily installed EIFS. However, over time EIFS became an option for residential exteriors.

Install all correct flashings, water diverters, and end dams
Mechanically fasten EPS foam to substrate
